π Dunia Halloween Story Jam

π Dunia Halloween Story Jam
7 days to create your scariest interactive story.
I'm putting this together because I want to see what happens when creative people play with a new medium. Fiction that isn't static. Stories where readers make choices and the world responds. Characters with depth who can actually react to what players do.
It's a different way of thinking about storytelling, and I'm looking for people who want to figure it out with me.
The theme is spooky. Halloween. Horror. Whatever keeps you up at night. Ghost stories, cosmic dread, psychological thrillers.
Submissions close November 4th.

π What Makes a Great Spooky World?
This medium is new and we're all figuring it out together. But I've noticed a few things that work:
Craft:
- Hook people in the opening scene
- Give players clear objectives (even if mysterious)
- Make choices feel like they matter
- Balance mystery with enough clarity to keep them engaged
- Play test it yourself first
Genre ideas (but do whatever speaks to you):
- Gothic horror in a Victorian mansion
- Psychological thriller in modern suburbia
- Cosmic horror Γ la Lovecraft
- Slasher film scenario
- Haunted space station
- Folk horror in rural settings
- Zombie apocalypse with a twist
- Supernatural mystery
π How to Enter
- Create a world on Dunia (free, takes about 3 minutes for your first draft)
- Add γHalloween Jam 2025γ in your world's summary field
- Playtest it. Then improve it. Iterate.
- Hit 'Publish' when you're ready
- Share your world link wherever your people hang out
That's it. Don't overthink the first version. Just get something out there and make it better as you go.
